If you are a parent and would like to discuss counselling for your child, then please do not hesitate to get in touch by clicking here. I will endeavour to reply within 24 hours.

Usually we would have an initial meeting all together so that I can introduce myself and we can discuss how counselling may benefit your child. I would then start one- to- one sessions with the young person at our agreed time.

If you are a young person and you feel you need some support, then please get in touch by clicking here. I will endeavour to reply within 24 hours.

If you require help immediately then please contact child line on 0800 1111 or call 999.

“At the start of these sessions all I could do was see red! But now everything is starting to go the way it should. I have left old things, bad memories and torn up relationships behind, I have developed a new me and a better life. And even though not everything is perfect a change is here, a new beginning so thank you.”

“You have helped me through so much and even helped me realise what I want. It has been hard but I am glad that I now don’t need a counsellor, although I will miss you.”

Children & Young People
As well as counselling adults I have a vast amount of experience of working with children and young people. When studying to become a counsellor I worked part time in a nursery, I then also got a job as a youth worker. Having this background means I have a wealth of experience with children and young people and I understand the difficulties and issues they may face.

During my counselling career I have supported a vast number of children and young people through some very difficult times, giving them a safe environment to explore what is going on in their lives. I have completed a number of courses centred around supporting young people therapeutically meaning I am able to work with a range of techniques to suit each individual child’s specific needs and preferences.

I have counselled young people for 10 years in a variety of settings both inside and outside of school or college. In one of my roles I set up and managed a counselling service in a high school so I am very familiar with the demands and stresses young people encounter from school, friendships, family, day to day life or in crisis.
